USU Hosts Utah’s Only Lt. Gov. Debate

Utah’s only debate between Lt. Gov. Greg Bell and democratic challenger Vince Rampton will be held on Utah State University’s Logan campus Oct. 31 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. in the Taggart Student Center Ballroom. Agreed upon themes for the discussion include higher education and the Prosperity 2020 initiative, voter participation in Utah, Utah’s job growth prospects and environment and air quality.

In preparation for the debate, Utah Public Radio, the USU Institute of Government and Politics and USU’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences — the debate’s three sponsors — will solicit questions from the public until Friday, Oct. 26, through the UPR website (upr.org).
