Weekly Logan Highlight

Gardener’s Market

The Cache Valley Gardener’s Market runs every Saturday from 9:00-1:00 at Merlin Olsen Park (100 E 100 S).  Buy fresh veggies, artisan bread, fresh-squeezed lemonade, and local crafts.  At the beginning of the summer, you will find more planting and gardening supplies, and at the end of the summer you will find more in-season produce.  It’s a great way to start off your Saturday.

Meet Other Summer School Students

We realized this weekend is Memorial Day Weekend, so we are holding off on canoeing until next week.  Plan on heading to Hyrum Dam next week for some canoeing and stand-up paddle boarding!

April 11th – May 31st

Old Main 252

Exhibit will be on display in the Museum of Anthropology through May 31st. From the artist: “Through my camera lens I bring the world to our very own Anthropology Museum. My work mainly focuses on women especially, mothers and children. They are my favorite subjects because of their innocence and their true beauty that they add to this world. I am the artist and through my camera I enjoy bringing to life the stories of these women and children. I have been very fortunate to be able to capture their presence and emotion through my photography. The “Women of the World Arise” exhibition captures the grace of women and children from Africa, Russia and Israel.

Bear Lake Monster Half Marathon

May 26th

Starting at Harbor Village near the shores of beautiful Bear Lake, runners will encounter one of the most scenic, yet challenging, half marathons in the region.

With roughly 1,200 feet of vertical gain, the 13.1 mile course travels into the foothills overlooking Bear Lake before descending back to the finish line.

Not quite up for the challenge of a half marathon? 10 kilometer and 5 kilometer options are also available.

The two-race series provides amazing bookend events to your summer with a May 26 race to kick off Memorial Day weekend and a September 1 run to highlight your Labor Day vacation.

Because this is our first year holding these races, we are keeping registration prices low to encourage participation. Every runner will receive a gender specific tech t-shirt and all finishers will receive a finisher’s medal.

But don’t wait too long to sign up. We’re limiting the field to just 500 runners.
